It has been rightly said that books play a significant role in our life. For a lot of people, books are integral parts of their everyday life. Reading a book is just like breathing fresh air for them.  A book is like your best friend who will never ever walk away from you.

Books are enveloped with knowledge, important understandings into a happy life, some very relevant life lessons, love, prayer and many times helpful advice. They still remain the perfect way to fight illiteracy and to gain knowledge.

Books are partnering humans for centuries and if they weren’t there today then knowledge of our past ancestors, their forgone cultures as well as ancient civilizations would have been nearly impossible. The studies which were documented by intellectuals are proving to be a boon in disguise in today’s World.

Reading can also be taken up as a hobby and I am sure that a lot of people would agree that reading a book is just like meditation to them. It gives them peace and happiness. To awaken and stimulate the mind…choose a book over your TV or your smartphone.

Apart from this by reading a book you expose yourself to new things, new information, new ideas, new techniques to solve a problem and new ways to achieve your goals in life. Reading might also give you the required help in exploring things that you didn’t even know you like. This journey of exploration begins with reading and understanding.

By reading a book you tend to know the World better, it gives you the power to make better decisions in life as the more you read the more you understand things and thus find the truth about something. Hence proved that when you open a book…you open a world. So my friend starts reading books, there is nothing better than partnering yourself with a new book with crisp and fresh pages, get up and get the mojo back in your life.

Books are a uniquely portable magic

Everyone dreams of escaping from the reality and living in a fantasy world. As a child I also wanted myself to transport in a dreamy wonderland. For me, books opened up the doors of this wonderland. Books created a magical gateway to the world of magic, mystery, wild imagination, adventure and love. In no time, books became my comforting zone and whenever I felt lonely I always had a book beside me. Every day I transformed into a new character and a new adventure would begin. One day I would be a wacky mad hatter from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, another day I would be in Hogwarts as Harry Potter and on some days I would be a cute little cuddly bear Winnie the Pooh. Books took me to the places that I never dreamt of.

Books indeed gave wings to my imagination and became my best friend. For an introvert like me, books became a best friend that every other person always wanted to have who can be their guide, philosopher, secret keeper and entertain at the same time.

They never questioned or complained. They made me think about others’ feelings and appreciate the world and its beings in a different light. Books intrigued me. They induced strong feelings in me and kept me on edge until the very end. Books lightened up my mood whenever I felt lonely, sad or depressed. Slowly, the smell of a new book always attracted me more and more to itself.

According to me, books are an ocean of treasure, full of a precious commodity and the best part is that books never lose their value.   The information provided in books remain evergreen, no matter how many times anyone has used the ideas of it, it never gets old, it never diminishes it’s worth. Books make you much wealthier than anyone else in terms of knowledge and wisdom.

Lastly, I would like to say that if you are feeling alone or you have no such friends whom you can trust then it’s high time to get into a friendship with books. Books won’t leave you or betray you, instead will always add up something to your knowledge and will make you a successful person. Books will make you laugh and cry while letting you find the real meaning of life.
